The Dax Centre, based in the University of Melbourne, is a hub for those interested in the relationship between the mind, mental illness, trauma, art and creativity. It curates the Cunningham-Dax Collection of works by people who have experienced mental illness or trauma, and offers education and professional development programs.
The society studies doctor-patient relationships. A Balint group is an experiential, small group educational activity in which GPs discuss cases from their practice with a focus on the doctor-patient relationship.
The Anna Freud Centre in London, helps young people with mental health problems. It provides treatment for children and parents, and trains professionals working with children. It conducts research into young people’s emotional distress.
